‘This magnificent collection of books is rarely on view so we hope that visitors over the remaining weeks of the summer season will enjoy this extra ‘attraction’,’ comments Sarah Friswell, Cathedral Public Relations Manager.
The Library was founded in 1595 and has over 550 books in its collection, including a herbal, several Bibles including a first-edition King James version and Foxes Book of Martyrs.
Please note that access to the Library is via a narrow spiral staircase and we regret that there is no disabled access.
The Library will be open each Wednesday afternoon until Wednesday 28th September. There is no charge but donations are welcome.
